My name is Paula Ashton and I developed Ashton People Solutions in 2012, a company which provides HR consultancy services, recruitment and training services for small to medium sized businesses, corporate clients and organisations across the UK. I have worked in HR for over 24 years in corporate organisations such as Barclays, Royal Bank of Scotland, Dixons Group and manufacturing and automotive sector.

I particularly enjoy working alongside clients to fully understand their business or organisation and building relationships to provide a more inhouse HR feel to the services that we provide. Trust and confidence in our HR support is crucial! By getting to know and understand our clients needs fully, it means that the advice that we provide is valuable and has the most impact to the business and their teams.

I have extensive experience of dealing with employment law advice, HR policy advice – including disciplinary and grievance, maternity and absence management. I also have a passion for recruitment and selection and I have managed large-scale recruitment and selection campaigns and can offer this service along with our extensive training and development programmes.

I have a Masters degree in Personnel & Development and a Chartered MCIPD qualified member. In addition to this, I am also a Qualified Trainer, Level A Psychometric Assessor and Level B Personality Profiling Assessor.

Chelsea our HR Coordinator joined the team in 2022, with experience in employee relations and projects in the automotive and transport industry . Chelsea holds a Level 3 CIPD in Human Resource Practice and is studying towards her Level 5.

Jennifer brings with her an excellent understanding of employment law (qualified LLB Scots and English Law degree), and HR experience within the charity sector, along with leadership positions in retail management
